EDUCAUSE: Chicago Conference Showcases Ed Tech Insights and Expertise
This year’s EDUCAUSE Annual Conference, to be held Oct. 14–17 in Chicago, will shine a spotlight on data in all of its forms and applications in higher education. How to collect, manage, protect and glean insights from data is one of the biggest themes of the conference, reflecting the immense interest in this area at institutions across the country.

Other key themes of the show include digital transformation, security and privacy, and new tools and tactics to support modern pedagogy. If that’s not enough, conferencegoers will find plenty of other topics in the mix, showcased at more than 300 sessions by more than 800 presenters.
Keynote speakers will be Steven Johnson, a best-selling author and host of the PBS show “How We Got to Now,” and Reshma Saujani, an author and the founder and CEO of Girls Who Code.
Also of note, EDUCAUSE will unveil the 2020 Top 10 IT Issues list, together with several other new research publications, with sessions including “The 2019 ECAR Student and Faculty Technology Surveys” and “Special Topics in the 2019 Higher Ed IT Workforce.”
