What’s in Demand When It Comes to School Bus Wi-Fi? [#Infographic]

Standards come to the forefront as more schools become interested in expanding transportation Wi-Fi.

When it comes to combatting the homework gap, some educators have found that expanding Wi-Fi outside the walls of schools is a great way to provide access to students that need it. One successful option even has wheels. Districts like Watkins Glen Central School District in New York state have outfitted their school buses with Wi-Fi.

The latest research from Kajeet has found that only 7 percent of school buses currently have Wi-Fi, but 37 percent of districts are considering adding it to their bus fleets in the next two years. When it comes to features for bus Wi-Fi, K–12 administrators have specific requests, like content filtering and high connection speed.

For more on what K–12 administrators want from Wi-Fi and where these mobile access points are in highest demand, check out the Kajeet infographic below.
