Review: Ergotron YES Adjusta Charging Cart Quickly Powers Up Devices

This cart offers a smarter way to charge, store and organize devices.

When Ergotron introduced its new pre-wired charging cart at ISTELive in June 2025, the company emphasized efficiency, flexibility and speed in a compact design. The YES Adjusta cart, available in 24- and 36-device models, delivers on those promises. I tested the larger YES36 model to see how it performed in a busy middle school classroom.

As a middle school technology electives teacher, I’ve used many charging carts over the years. They are essential for device storage and charging, but most are bulky and take up too much space. The YES Adjusta immediately stood out because of its smaller footprint, pegboard sides for tool storage and a retractable arm that holds a whiteboard.

Updated Cart Charges 40% Faster Than Other Models

Setup was quick and straightforward. Measuring 2.4 feet long and 2.1 feet wide, the YES36 takes up less floor space than most carts my district has purchased. Inside, three rows of shelves that can store up to twelve devices each include a USB-C charging cord ready for use. The organized layout and solid construction make an excellent first impression.

Ergotron promotes the YES Adjusta as “ready out of the box,” and that claim proved true. It works well for overnight storage or as a daytime charging station. I encouraged my students to use it whenever they needed to recharge their Chromebooks. Their response was immediate: “This charges way faster!” Ergotron’s claim of up to 40% faster charging matched what we experienced in class.

Versatile Design Adapts to Any Classroom Setup

Flexibility is another strength. Each shelf can be adjusted to fit different device sizes, and the pegboard sides convert the cart into a mobile makerspace. My review unit came with a full set of accessories: six screwdriver holders, six peg-mounted bottles, eight small bins, four larger tool holders and a 24-by-14-inch retractable whiteboard. During testing, I used the whiteboard frequently to jot down quick reminders, daily to-do lists and even motivational quotes for my students. It became a convenient communication hub during class, and I appreciated how the arm could swivel and retract so it never got in the way of charging or using the top workspace.

Within minutes, I had screwdrivers, drone parts, and paper clips organized and accessible. The pegboard attachments snap securely into place, turning unused space into functional storage. An optional side shelf provides a stable platform for a document camera, small projector or laptop. The top surface of the cart can also serve as a writing or presentation space.

The Ergotron YES Adjusta pre-wired cart combines thoughtful design, flexibility and reliable charging performance. It is compact, adaptable and durable enough to evolve with any school’s technology program. For teachers and IT professionals seeking an all-in-one solution for charging, organization and mobility, this cart earns high marks for innovation and practicality.
