The annual conference features more than 300 sessions on all aspects of educational technology.

One of the country’s largest gatherings in higher education IT is around the corner, with the 2018 EDUCAUSE Annual Conference kicking off October 30 at Denver’s Colorado Convention Center. The four-day event brings together thousands of experts, professionals and technology providers to learn, share and network. More than 300 sessions will cover everything from traditional IT infrastructure such as networking and data centers to emerging areas such as artificial intelligence.

A conference highlight each year is the unveiling of EDUCAUSE’s Top 10 IT Issues. In 2018, attendees will learn whether information security tops the list for the fourth year in a row. The annual analysis, developed and voted on by members of the nonprofit organization, last year also ranked data analytics, student success and change management as priorities.

EDUCAUSE also will present this year’s reports on the Student Technology Survey from its Center for Analysis and Research, the Campus Computing Survey and the Higher Education IT Workforce Landscape study.

Keynote speakers will be:

  • Michele Norris, former NPR host and special correspondent, founding director of The Race Card Project and executive director of The Bridge, who will present “Eavesdropping on America’s Conversation on Race.”
  • Alexis Ohanian, Reddit cofounder and author of Initialized Capital, who will present “Make Something People Love.”
