Microsoft Centralizes Their Educational Offerings in New Platform
Microsoft just made using their tools in the classroom a whole lot easier.
Today, the tech-giant announced Microsoft 365 Education, a platform that brings together the tools that teachers and administrators are already making regular use of in the classroom, like Office 365, Windows 10, Enterprise Mobily + Security and "Minecraft: Education Edition."
"We've learned from customers that we needed to make it easier to harness the power of the Microsoft toolset in schools," writes Microsoft VP for Education Anthony Salcito in a blog post.
The new tool will build on existing Office 365 for Education tools by integrating more advanced features and making it simpler to create a digital hub for students.
By bringing in the IT management tool Intune for Education, this platform will also support easier facilitation of upgrades to software and devices.
Salcito writes that Microsoft 365 Education, which will debut on Oct. 1, will overall make the experience of managing classrooms and IT more holistic.
