How Lassen Community College Flipped Instruction
- Securing a Title III grant in 2011 gave Lassen Community College the funding it needed for classroom improvements and professional development. CDW•G and Extreme Electronics helped the college understand and implement the classroom technologies that would best serve teachers’ and students’ needs.
- Lassen now has PolyVision interactive whiteboards and eno mini slates, NEC ultra-short-throw projectors, and Aver AverVision F50 document cameras in all 23 classrooms. Additional technologies will be deployed in the years ahead.
- Faculty members are now being trained to use the technology and to experiment with new instructional models, including flipping their classrooms when appropriate.
