EDUCAUSE 2014: What You Need to Know
There are only a few short weeks until the annual EDUCAUSE conference kicks off on Sept. 29, gathering the brightest minds in IT and education under one roof.
EDUCAUSE 2014 will fill the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. with an estimated 7,000 attendees from Sept. 29-Oct 2. More than 270 exhibitors will fill the show floor with the latest offerings in educational technology and advice from experts in the industry.
The conference, hosted each year by the higher education nonprofit organization EDUCAUSE, is a source of news, research and best practices for educators and IT professionals.
Those interested in expanding their knowledge, network and solutions in the education realm will find hundreds of sessions across 20 different themes to explore, ranging from crowdsourcing to virtualization.
This year's conference keynote speakers include:
- Clay Christensen, the Kim B. Clark professor of business administration, Harvard Business School
- Doris Kearns Goodwin, presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author
- Nancy Zimpher, chancellor, The State University of New York
Those who can't make it to Orlando for the conference won't be left out. The virtual conference program includes 63 webcasts and 18 exclusive online sessions. For more information on the virtual conference, check the EDUCAUSE website.
