How an Illinois School District Built the Infrastructure to Enable BYOD

After evaluating the existing IT infrastructure, CUSD 200 decided to rebuild the network at all 23 sites, install IP-based phones and implement wireless.
District officials wanted a single-vendor solution that could be project-managed by a single source. CUSD 200 chose an all-Cisco infrastructure, which CDW•G finished deploying in late 2011.
The district now allows all users to bring their own mobile computing devices to campus and to connect to district resources and the Internet using its open wireless network.
