Bringing Virtual Learning to Life with Tech-Focused Strategies
Attendees will hear about all aspects of blended learning, from better ways to engage students in online classrooms to subject-specific strategies to bring virtual learning to life. The diverse lineup also covers digital literacy, diversity and inclusion, esports, assessments, personalized learning, professional development and much more. In addition to discussing best practices for pedagogy in today’s blended learning environments, presenters will share new technology tools and tips to use familiar solutions more effectively. Attendees also will have access to Q&A sessions, interviews, live podcast recordings and networking opportunities with peers around the world.
A full slate of speakers will bring their ideas and inspiration to the TCEA conference, including:
- Professor John Hattie, director of the Melbourne Educational Research Institute at the University of Melbourne; a researcher who focuses on performance indicators, measurement models and the evaluation of teaching and learning; and the author of Visible Learning and Visible Learning for Teachers
- Bonnie St. John, a leadership consultant, author and former Paralympic athlete
- Hamish Brewer, an award-winning principal who is described as “an educational disruptor who transcends the status quo and typical educational norms”
In addition, this year, TCEA partners with IDEAcon, hosted by the Illinois Digital Educators Alliance, which will provide additional live content February 22–24.
