SC30 Partners with Samsung and Others to Bring Equitable Opportunities to K–12 Students

Students learn leadership skills while golfing and gaming, thanks to Stephen Curry’s nonprofit.

Through initiatives with organizations such as CDW, Samsung and Intel, nonprofit SC30 is working to provide new opportunities for K–12 students. These initiatives include golf tournaments and esports labs that aim to refine student players’ leadership skills.

On the green, students learn life lessons such as perseverance, dedication and integrity, says Karl Schulz, CDW vice president of product and partner management. On the screen, meanwhile, esports shows students the career opportunities that can come from science, technology, engineering and math.

Whether these student-athletes go on to become professional golfers or industry-leading IT professionals, SC30 is working to set them up for success.
