Is Your College Preparing to Upgrade to Windows 8?

What working IT pros think about the latest Microsoft operating system.

Windows 8 is set to launch this Friday, and IT managers are already trying to decide whether they should upgrade. The new software will share a kernel with the Windows Phone software and will also feature the Windows RT tablet software. Microsoft is making a big push for mobile devices, and with SkyDrive, the built-in cloud integration app, the operating system will sync files across all of a user’s devices.

So while Microsoft is finally ready to provide the device connectivity that individual users have been pining for, are enterprises, governments, school districts and universities ready for the change?
